Kristina Måsbäck

Hi! My name is Kristina Måsbäck and I am applying to the Representative Assembly because I believe in student democracy and the importance of being able to influence your education. The student perspective is essential in the development of the Institute of Social Sciences, and I believe that the most important channel for the students to make their voices heard is the Social Science Union. Short about me, I am 22 years old and from Lund. I am studying my fourth semester at the political candidate program. I’ve always had a big interest in student democracy and inclusion, leading me to have held posts as chairwoman on the student councils of my two previous schools, and been on the board for Friluftsfrämjandet Lund (Swedish Outdoor Association local unit in Lund) for over 5 years. I´ve several times represented my region at the National Conference, the highest decision making body in Friluftsfrämjandet, and last year I was chosen to handle the election committee preparations to the head board. As for my engagement in the student activities at Lund University, I have so far been head mentor of the Social Sciences Union novisch-period, I helped arrange two trips with the travel committee of LUPEF and I was a member of the RA last fall. As you can see, I have both experience and passion for student democracy, as well as a thorough knowledge of the day-to-day running of a board and I hope I will get your trust to help make the union even better.
